1st Annual Jetty Coquina Jam
Slated for August 26th
0

With the success of The Jetty Clam Jam last fall comes the 1st annual Coquina Jam, an all-female, team-oriented surf contest to be held at Hudson Avenue in Harvey Cedars, NJ on August 26th. As more and more ladies pleaded to compete in The Clam Jam, Jetty figured it best to dedicate an entire day (and contest) to them! The 32 local surfers will be randomly paired together in teams of 2 and the final 4 teams will advance to the women’s final which will be held @ The 3rd Annual Jetty Clam Jam on October 10th.

In 2008, Sarah Pfeiffer took the first-ever girls Clam Jam trophy, edging out Morgan Gore, as the two women fought their way through monster storm surf and caught electrifying waves to the excitement of a packed beach.

The Coquina Jam will run from 5-8 pm and The Coquina Concert and After Party will be held from 8-10 pm across the street at Sunset Park. A raffle benefiting breast cancer will be running all day with plenty of great prizes including a pink surfboard custom shaped by Brian Wynn.

The Coquina after Party costs $10 to attend and will feature some of the hottest local female artists and performers.

On the same day, Randy Townsend will be hosting a surf camp at Hudson Avenue. Townsend will be in the water all day giving pointers as well as signing autographs on the latest Jetty poster!
