Iconix, voted one of Americas fastest growing companies by Fortune in 2008, owning OP, Mossimo and other brands, reported revenues at $50.5 million (9% less than a year ago quarter).Chairman and CEO, Neil Cole, tries to reinforce his company’s strength with the following statements:

“We are pleased to have delivered a strong performance in the first quarter of this year driven by the successful roll out of Op, Starter and Danskin Now at Walmart and our commitment to improving margins. We are encouraged by our growth prospects and believe we are making great progress internationally. This morning we announced an investment in the Ed Hardy brand and we are also looking at some larger acquisition opportunities that we feel could be actionable this year. Based on our better than expected performance in the quarter and our 50% interest in Ed Hardy, we feel confident increasing our revenue and earnings guidance at this time and look forward to what should be an exciting year for our company.”

Inside Adrenalina (update story) 0

Answering my question about what Adrenalina is up to, Transworld looked into the companies finances and found some interesting things.

It seems that Adrenalina’s bids for 49 West and PacSun are all in an effort to  shore up their balance sheets. The Transworld peice estimates that Adrenalina has $3 million in assets and $5.1 million in liabilities. Seems like they have a bit of a problem on their hands in the wake of a economic downturn, but hopefully the CEO Mr. Ilia Lekach can turn things around.
