Pro Surfing Management’s Alek Parker Announces New Website and Blog 0

First, the Hobgoods, then Ben Bourgeois, Fred Pattachia, Gabe Kling and the Gudangs. Now it’s Alek Parkers turn. Not talking about qualifying for the ‘CT or winning an NSSA championship, it’s just another drop in the bucket of blog-world. Alek Parker is a lover of technology so it’s no surprise that he got with the prosurfersname.com/blog program. Hell – he’s had atwitter (http://www.twitter.com/alekparker) and a vimeo (http://vimeo.com/user753979) for a while now, it was just a matter of time.

So here it is, Alek Parker’s blog (http://www.alekparker.com/) , bookmark it, make it your home page, email it to all your friends. Alek’s got a little more skills than the Goods when it comes to editing (storytelling, not humoring cause those guys are hilarious ) and while he might not have a film guy as competent as Dion’s Agius following him around all the time getting footage to edit, he makes up for it by filming himself. A lot. Right now, I’m digging his post about TAP airlines being so shredder friendly – you should definitely check it out (Like Bitchin). All in all, Alek is a funny dude who knows how to press record and for the amount of traveling and adventuring this guy does it’s sure to not disappoint.

BROADER – Action Sports Social Media Agency LAUNCHED 0

May4

BROADER – A(nother) social media agency based out of Geneva, Switzerland is designed to, in the words of the founder Nicolas Fermont, “help Action Sports brands, athletes, events listen, understand and most importantly engage in Social Media by having meaningful conversations with people and igniting positive word of mouth.”

Just hope they are not another one of those people on twitter claiming to know everything about social media simply because they can set up a twitter, youtube, myspace, and facebook account. So far seems like they actually have some interesting stories and are on the right track. Props.
